One of my favorite foods in the world is oatmeal; cup of this stuff for breakfast and I’m set for the day! I know, it sounds BORING, and something your grandmother would eat every morning. But trust me, when you try having this for breakfast for a week straight, you won’t go back to anything else!

Here’s the deal: breakfast, as I hope most of you know, is the most important meal of the day. Why? Because the food you have first thing in the morning really affect your mood and energy for the day. Mostly, children and adults breakfast on the days before major events: birthday, graduation, job training, etc. Needless to say, having a hearty, healthy breakfast is a great way to get your energy level sky high and settle down for the day.

My favorite way to have my much needed morning fix is by having oatmeal with my orange juice (best way to use orange juice, you might say), and sometimes raisins, dried fruit, fruit, milk, and peanut butter on a gluten free breakfast banana. My kids love it because it’s more filling than any cereal or flakes, and because banana’s natural sugars and fats are a great blend of flavors for beginners. As for me, time is the biggest thing I look forward to in the morning. I like to think every meal I eat should have a healthy element to it.

Unfortunately, many of the breakfast items on the market are fare from a time gone by when people survived on home cooked meals and could remember what to eat and avoid what not to.  Good things were made from scratch, were fresh and would have been eaten with love by the old fashioned cooks. These are the foods that were raised by our grandparents, and met many of our relatives; foods that they could relish with pride.

You can certainly find many of these types of สล็อตเว็บตรง traditional foods in ouridges and fridges; in our pantry is a mix of old and new. But why should we care whether a dish is old or new? Why should we prefer the old over the new? Well, in a sense, yes, but that’s not the point. The point is to have a complete and well rounded breakfast, and nothing should be above that. You may prefer a dish that was once served only at a fancy banquet, but the rest of us may prefer a simple tomato salad with a hard roll, or even a sweet potato with syrup.

To have a well balanced meal, think about doing something every way you can, and do not be afraid to try a new recipe as often as you can. You may never know what the next recipe will be and you might change a few things as you go along. Don’t be afraid to deviate, and just keep in mind that if the dish works for another it will probably work for you. Have fun with it. After all, it’s your wedding.

One thing that will make your meal considerably easier to control is to keep track of protein needs.  One thing that happens time and time again is someone starts a great meal but then has no idea if it will be a success until it’s served.  How do you know when you’ve got a hit?  You just do the best you can with each recipe, making sure you have a little something to make it complete.

For example, lets say you’re making Fish Parcels, Pineapple Chicken, Whatever happened to Baked Chicken Breast, and they’re all going to be difficult to make on the first try?  Well, then you’ll know for the future; if you decide on one of those recipes, make sure you’ve read the instructions carefully the first time, prior to cooking.  If you can’t read the instructions, best to just throw it out, as there might as well be someone throwing it out of a tree!

In the meantime, back to the original question.  What are some great, basic, easy to make New Year recipes that you can make, that you will be able to make while the house is still warming up?  You’ll have a delicious meal that, while not complicated, will be as filling as can be, and ready in a flash to be served in a jiffy.
